Baroque: Wonderful Instruments
By: Harrison Kopitsch
Stringed
The Baroque movement used instruments such as the lute, violin, viola, cello, and double bass. The Stinged instruments were the most important part of the Baroque movement, because they, for the most part, were the solo piece or the main tune. Other instruments played background music to an extent.
WoodWind
The woodwind section during the Baroque movement was composed of the Flute, Oboe, recorder, and bassoon. These instruments were to be lighter and high, giving the feel of lightness for the audience.
Brass
Brass instruments in the Baroque movement involved Trumpets, Horns, and sack-buts. Baroque brass was the strong point of music, and made the music more emotional.
