What we are learning in Room 12...
This is the area of the weekly newsletter where parents/guardians can be informed of what is planned for our week. If your child is going to be absent, please let me know in advance if possible, so I can send make-up work with them.
- Math - We are starting our next unit on Tuesday, it is all about fractions.
- Reading - Every Tuesday from now until the AIR test in April will become "Test-Prep Tuesday" and we'll learn how to read passages and answer questions on the test. We are finishing our work with text structures and will start researching biographies soon about people important to Black History Month.
- Writing/Spelling - There is no spelling test this week, due to having no school on Monday. Students will finish their informational books this week and we will start a new writing mini-unit next week.
- Social Studies - We have started learning about Tallmadge History and also what it was like to live in the 1700s/1800s.
