Stock up on some extra library books next week and spend your Thanksgiving break with some extra good reads. The week of Thanksgiving there will be no library holds or check out.

Election Day @ Winkler

Winkler School had our own election on Tuesday. Students and staff voted for their favorite candy, Twix or Skittles. Skittles won by only a 3 vote margin! Every student in the school was given Skittles to celebrate the win. Great job to Mrs. Dummer's 3r Grade class for learning about elections and creating this interactive event!

Veterans Day Virtual Activities

This Veterans Day, we are creating a video to honor all of our Unites States Military Veterans. Families with veteran friends or family members, please take a moment to fill out the attached form or the one sent home so that we may share our video with our countries Veterans. Please note that emails will ONLY be used for this purpose and never shared.

Bus Riders

Please remind your child that they MUST WEAR THEIR MASKS on the bus to and from school. This is a very important step in keeping our bus drivers safe, our students healthy, and our schools open.

TRI-COUNTY DRIVE THROUGH TESTING

FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FOR ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) recently announced their free meal programs will continue until June 30, 2021.

We encourage all students to take breakfast each morning as this can be used for their morning or afternoon snack. In addition, ALL students can receive FREE lunch!

Aramark is the district's food service provider. Students can choose from four delicious entrees each and every day in addition to many choices of fresh fruits and vegetables.

What a great opportunity for your child to try new and different foods and you not having the hassle of making lunch!

IMPORTANT - If your child brings a cold lunch and would like milk, please make sure there is money in their account.

EXTRA CLOTHES

Please remember to pack your child's backpack with a change of clothes in a labeled ziplock bag. Accidents happen. Whether is a spill at lunch, mud on the playground, or a bathroom accident, having a change of clothes handy (no matter the grade/age) is really helpful in preventing an uncomfortable or embarrassing day. Some items to consider: shirt, pants/leggings, underwear, and socks.

WARM CLOTHES

Speaking of extra clothes, if you haven't noticed it's getting pretty chilly again. Gotta love that Wisco weather! Please be sure to send hats, gloves/mittens, and warm coats with your kiddos every day. Once it snows, you will need to send snowpants and boots for the kids to play on the equipment or grass.

*NOTE - We are not able to have a "borrow" section in the office this year. Please be sure to send kids with the gear they need... EVERY DAY.
