Industrialist
The american industrialists overseeing this expantion were ready to take risk and make their businesses successful. Andrew carnegie was ready also and built the first steel mill in the u.s. and other factories came after.
Fair labor standerds act
The national child labor commite dedication to the abolition played a big role eventually, roosevelt sighned the fair labor standerds act.
Americanization movement
The americanization movement was designed to assimilate the domiant culture, sponsered by the U.S. government. The immigrants were forced to go to school and learn how to speak english and also read and write.
Machines
Machines helped immigrants with naturalization housing, jobs, and more. The most famous of them, boss tweed helped with frawd and scandle in the city because of the court house that costed $13 million.
Ethnic groups
For the first time fedural law wouldn't allow entry of certain ethnic groups because it endangered the good of certain localities
Cities
America was growing fast. The cities were becoming huge and the government kept getting bigger and trying to keep the cities growing.
Immigrants
most of the new immigrants came to the big cities where the factors were. most of the immigrants started working at the factories.
Culture
In these cities immigrants with the same ethnic remained together which provided the opportunity to speak their native language and retain their customs and cultures
Free trade
Congress passes a act that made it illegal to form a trust that interfered with free trade
Companies
Most companies did everything they could to stay in control of the competition. Most enterprises used trusts or mergers to have complete control
