Continent Club Check - Wednesday 2/28 This month’s continent is South America. Study maps can be found on the PTC web site: http://wtvptc.org/continent-club/. We need an additional 7 - 10 volunteers to help this event run smoothly.
Innovation Fair (formerly Science Fair) - Entry Forms Due this Thursday 3/1
Our annual science fair has morphed into and INNOVATION fair! The Innovation Fair will be held on Thursday, March 15 from 6 to 8pm. Students may conduct any inquiry project at home and prepare a display board to show their knowledge and hard work. This is an optional home activity for all students grades K-5.
This link will take you to the Innovation Fair packet and it is filled with ideas and an entry form.
Timeline
March 1 Turn entry form and a $3.00 donation for a inquiry display board
March 7 Approved entries and display boards will be sent home
March 15 8:10-8:25am bring inquiry display boards to the school gym
March 15 Innovation Fair 6:00 -8:00pm
Auction Set-up Volunteers Needed - Saturday 3/3 We need 3-4 volunteers to help transport items to the World Forestry Center and set up. Time is from 12:30 - 3:30 on Saturday, March 3rd. Please sign up in MvP under Art Auction, Art auction set up.
Emergency Preparedness Parent Info. Session – Rescheduled for 3/21, 6:30 p.m.
Please join us for our second parent information session of 2018 on Wednesday, March 21st at 6:30 p.m. in the library. Last month we learned about Standard Response Protocol from our Washington County Safety Resource Officer. This month we will have BSD Emergency Coordinator Ashley Vanderjagt here to present an overview of BSD’s emergency preparedness program and improvements, BSD emergency protocols and drills, parent reunification, and emergency preparedness at home, including earthquake readiness and response. (The March PTC meeting will follow the session).
