STAAR Testing
Third and fourth grades will be taking the Math and Reading next week (April 21 and 22). Both teachers and students have been working hard this year, and now it is their opportunity to shine! There are a few things to keep in mind during testing week:
Our campus will be closed to all visitors the entire week of April 20- April 24. Parents or other visitors will not be allowed beyond the front office. Parents will not be allowed to walk their students to classrooms during these two week periods or have lunch in the cafeteria. If you would like to have lunch with your child, please come join us the week before or after.
For our students who are testing please……
*Send a water bottle and a healthy snack for each day of testing – pretzels, goldfish, trail mix, cheese cracker, protein bar, etc…(no fruit or chips)
*Do something fun the night before to help alleviate stress
*Have students get a good night’s sleep
*Leave all electronic devices and backpacks home
*Eat a healthy breakfast rich in protein: eggs, bacon, ham, peanut butter, etc…
Testing starts promptly at 8:00; therefore, please ensure you arrive early. Students who are testing will go directly to their classrooms upon arrival. Our doors are open at 7:30! This is a perfect opportunity for them to decompress and visit with friends before the day starts.
Thank you for all the support you give our students at Ridgeview!
