Ways Forest Are Alike AND Different. . .
Elephant Shrew
Elephant Shrew are a group of mammals that includes North Africa elephant shrews, and plenty others... there are 15 elephant shrew species alive today.
Colugos
Also known as flying lemurs, they are large tree dwelling placental mammals that glide using a flap of skin that forms a sail-like surface between their outstretched legs. only tow species of Colugos remain today, the philippine flying lemur and the sunda flying lemur.
Anteater
Anteaters and their relatives are a group of mammals that includes anteaters, armadillo, inhabits the southern united states. There are about 29 species of anteaters and their relatives alive today. anteaters are diverse in form.
Hare,Rabbits And Pika
Hares, pikas, and rabbit are small terrestrial mammals that can be found in a diverse range of habitats on every continent except australia and antarctica.

Trees In The Taiga
A variety of conifers thrive in the taiga where they easily shed snow while keeping their needles all winter. The small needles of the conifers, which include black spruce, white spruce, balsam fir and jack pine, feature a waxy coating that helps minimize the loss of moisture. Spruces, hemlocks and larches also grow in the biome with all of the conifers producing cones. Once the cones ripen, the seeds pop out and disperse in the forest. Birds and mammals also help disperse the seeds to new areas of the forest, where they eventually sprout and start to grow.
Plants In The Taiga
Because the climate of the taiga is very cold, there is not a large variety of plant life. The most common type of tree found in the taiga is the conifer--trees that have cones. Four kinds of conifers are common in the taiga. Three of the common conifers are evergreens; spruce, fir, and pine. The fourth common conifer is the tamarack, or larch, a deciduous tree. Under certain conditions, broadleaf trees, such as birch and aspen, are able to survive the harsh climate of the taiga.
Flowers In The Taiga
The taiga or boreal forest areas of Eurasia and North America are cold, foreboding areas that are difficult for vegetation to live in. The extremely cold winters and short, cool growing seasons typical of these regions are not conducive to much more than evergreen trees. There are, however, some tough little shrubs that not only manage to survive but thrive in this environment, providing bright spring and summer flowers.
