Team of the Week - First Grade
Our first grade team works to meet the needs of each of their young students. They do a great job of showcasing their students' work in their hallway. Check out the writing on display!
Fun Fact: This team is made up of experienced Hartman teachers. They have all been on staff since before 2008. Lori's husband is the golf coach at RHS. Julie has taught first grade for many years and loves the little ones! Susan McIntire wins the award for "Mother of the Year" as mom to four precious children. (Congratulations on the adoption, Susan.)

Great Things Happening in our Classrooms!
Kelli Johnson did an outstanding job of introducing persuasive techniques with her students. She led a very high level discussion. The students were highly engaged!
Dolores Gaertner's students learned how light travels by using mirrors and flashlights in the classroom last week.
Susan Boyd taught her fourth graders about the importance of honoring our nation's veterans with the annual Veterans Day Program. (The audience gave a standing ovation Tuesday evening. Everyone was moved by the outstanding performance.)
Kimberly Elsik used a highly engaging game to help students practice a math skill. The students loved it!
Elizabeth Trowbridge and Collin Strahan have worked hard to incorporate a skating unit for students. The students love this unit - it requires much extra effort, but they do it for the kids!
Kristina Bell and Grace Jones use their students to show parents what they are learning in class using a monthly iMovie.

Thought for the Week
it lies in the ability to get the other person's point of view
and see things from that person's angle as well as from your own.
