For the Week of 10/10-10/13
What We Worked On
Read Aloud- We read the stories "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves" and "Goldilocks and the Three Bears."
Skills- We continued to work on the letter "C", the number "3," the color blue, and the shape triangle. We also worked on patterns, positional words (above, below, under), and big/little, hard/soft. We will continue to work on these skills next week as well.
Looking Ahead- Next week we will begin our pumpkin unit. Mrs. D will be out on Monday.
What Can I Do?
We've been noticing great jobs on encouraging your child to dress themselves. Now that it is coat weather, please have your child try to put on their own coats or help them by putting on one arm and then having them reach to finish the job. Start the zippers for them and then let them pull up. Encourage them to put on their own shoes and help them fix the heel afterwards. We'll continue to do it here at school too!
