Spanish 3
December 7-11
Week 16
... (as an ELA/parent):
2. Have your students show you their grades, specifically their Quarter 2 average, as that's what they're doing now. (Grades are available 24/7) OR have them give you their log-in info., so you can check in on them any time. You just click on "Grades" in the left-hand sidebar.
3. Remind your students to complete ALL open, incomplete work first to ensure that they do their best the first time around. Redos and/or extra credit should only come AFTER doing everything as best as possible the first time around.
In addition to talking with your students, you should be receiving a progress report every other week (last one was last week and next one will be next week-before winter break). The last day of the course is January 8th and final grade reports will be sent out the after January 12th.
What's due this week! (Week 16)
Required Live Classes for Unit 8
Important Notice about due dates for Units 5-8!
The ending date for Units 5-8 is Friday, December 18 @ 11:55pm as we want students to complete assignments weekly, BUT Units 5-8 will actually NOT close until Thursday, December 31 @ 11:55pm, which means students can work on assignments for Units 5-8 until December 31. At the same time, students will have until Friday, January 8, 2016 @ 11:55pm to attend an RLC (for the Final Project), complete the Final Exam and submit the Final Project. The Final Exam and Final Project count 25% of the final grade.
I would ask that you encourage students to get those assignments completed before the holidays and not wait till the last minute. Most students are submitting assignments weekly and meeting those deadlines, but just in case your student is behind, he/she will be able to catch up and work on Units 5-8 until December 31.

Culture Cafe Sessions for Extra Cafe
The Holiday Season provides for great Culture Cafe sessions from around the world to help our students learn about the holiday customs and traditions of other cultures.
Students have 5 opportunities to attend a Culture Cafe for Extra Credit before the holidays. The extra credit counts towards a student's participation grade. Please encourage your student to attend these very interesting topics!
