LIS Tiger Talk
October 28, 2022
Principal's Update
Tiger Families,
Another exciting, busy week has blown by but I wouldn't have it any other way. Our #beLOVEland Showcase Night was certainly a display of why we love Loveland. What an amazing night to learn about the great things going on throughout the district. We had beautiful weather for our 6th Grade Student Council's Trunk or Treat. Our students and families did not disappoint, with decorated trunks, face paint, games and contests. Today our 6th Graders did their Walk to Water, raising money to help drill a well in South Sudan. We love providing students the opportunity to participate in projects to make a difference in our community and the world! Thanks to all our students, staff and families for supporting these events and showing why Loveland is The Place to Be!
Check out the blurb below about our Dress Up & Donate for Halloween on Monday to support our LIS Kindness Projects. Please remember for those wearing costumes, no bloody or scary costumes, costume masks, blow-ups, weapons, or accessories.
We are looking forward to seeing many of you at conferences next week.
Go Tigers!

Families In Transitions Group
Starting in November, Robin Purdin, LIS School Counselor will be offering a series of small groups called FIT (Families in Transition) that will be available to Loveland Intermediate School students who are facing or have faced transitions in their home lives. Transitions include divorce/separation, or death of an immediate family member. Often, children in these situations believe they are the only ones experiencing the resulting changes. Small groups allow participants to realize they are not alone and that there are other students in the school navigating the very same issues.
FIT groups will be limited to 8 members and will meet one time a week for 6 weeks. Groups will be formed based on type of transition. If interested, please fill out the permission form-LIS Families In Transitions Permission Form
