Publishing, Healthy Food, and Board Game Party!
We will be celebrating our small moment writing this coming Wednesday. All are welcome in the classroom following Community Gathering for a publishing party. Please feel free to bring a healthy dish to share with the Maple class, as this will be a pot luck of sorts.
Also, following an exploration and share of children's work, we will all gather together to play board games. Bring yours or your child's favorite board game to play. We need some board game support.
If it is most convenient, you can bring your little Maple home following the publishing, healthy food, and game board extravaganza.
Good Deeds Through Classroom Jobs
This week we started our classroom jobs. So many pieces of classroom furniture were polished. Plants were watered, and warm moments were shared. Featured in the photo above is our class book organizer. Not only has she started organizing and relabeling our classroom library, she is recommending books to other children and classrooms while doing so. In this picture, she can be seen presenting the Beech classroom with an alphabet book that she was particularly fond of during her K year. She thought they might like it.

Vin Shares Diwali With the Maples
Sivanne's Eema and Dad Visit the Class!
They were so deeply inspired by our school's progressive, children-centered, and inquiry-based model. They spoke and engaged with children during exploration, shared in a Diwali inspired community project with Rishi's mother Vin, and practiced mindfulness alongside us. Before leaving, Sivanne's dad was kind enough to take this class picture of us.
Have a wonderful weekend.
