We also have spots open in our Future University Leaders Program. You'll spend 1 hour on certain Mondays throughout the semester where you will get a better understanding of how a university works, see if a career in higher education is in your future and boost your resume to set you apart from the crowd! Leadership development is crucial to achieving success during college. Join the Office of Leadership Development for food, fun and facts on the five Ws – who, what, when, where and why – to getting the resources you need to empower others through leadership. By the end of the session, students will feel excited and empowered to take action on campus. This event is open to all Temple students.
- Wednesday, February 1st, 2017, 5:30pm-8pm, Student Center Room 200A (3.5 leadership hours).
We hear the phrase "Pay it Forward" so often, whether it's someone paying for your Starbucks or your groceries at the store, people are paying it forward everywhere. Get inspired by our next leadership film "Pay It Forward" featuring Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt and Haley Joel Osment, where one little boy starts his own chain of good deeds. After the movie, we'll go into the discussion portion and as always, there will be food!

What’s important to you? Knowing what is important to you is one of the keys to being an effective leader. Join us as we identify what values are, why they matter and discover what your values are. Every student will go home with a set of Values cards so they can remind themselves what their values are help their peers identify theirs as well.

Short on cash? Need money for books? Just want some extra money so you can buy pizza every day? A student job may be the best bet at earning money while getting priceless job experience that will show future employers how motivated and driven you are! Join us as we show you how to get a student job, how to find a student job that pertains to your goals and aspirations and how its the perfect place to develop your leadership skills. We will also explain how leadership skills can help you land the job and how these short term jobs will benefit you in your career. Please RSVP on Owl Connect if you plan on attending!
Temple University and Campus Philly present a one-day leadership conference open to ALL Philadelphia-area college students. Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills through presentations, workshops, dialogues, and panels on topics related to inclusive leadership, social change, and collaboration.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Find Your Voice: Advocating for Inclusion and Respect”. Whether you are an activist, writer, artist, or entrepreneur, YOUR voice is what we need. If you do not yet know your voice, or if you want to discover more ways to use your voice, ILC will engage you in conversation and activities around inclusion and respect for your voice and others.
This year’s Inclusive Leadership Conference keynote speaker is Shinjini Das. Das is a professional speaker, multi-media personality, Huffington Post contributor, and brand spokesperson with a social media following of more than 96,000. Read more on shinjinidas.com
