David Rahr Community Philanthropy Fellow
This is an 18-24 month position. The David Rahr Community Philanthropy Fellowship with the Vermont Community Foundation is an exceptional opportunity for a graduating college senior or recent graduate to gain exposure to the many ways philanthropy can be used to strengthen the economic, civic, social, and cultural fabric of Vermont communities. The fellow will have a strong connection to Vermont and an interest in community development, foundations/philanthropy, grant-making, nonprofit administration, social service, and/or mission-related investments.

Paid Gap Year Opportunity: Hands of Hope Internship
Hands of Hope Interns commit one year to live and work with these vulnerable children in the Residential Program’s agency foster homes. Responsibilities include daily care of the children, household management, and the coordination of medical appointments and therapy sessions.
Housing, health insurance, living stipend, and paid vacation are provided.

STEM Bridge Scholarship Program
The STEM Bridge Scholarship Program is a great entryway into the NASA pipeline and can lead to future VSGC scholarships and fellowships and NASA internship programs. This is a competitive scholarship program, funded by NASA and the Commonwealth of Virginia contributions, with the goals of encouraging students to pursue STEM careers through the following:
- Keeping students aware of STEM opportunities through VSGC as well as NASA opportunities
- Retaining students in STEM through mentoring
- Fostering participation in research by providing students with initial research experiences
Students from any federally recognized minority group in STEM and enrolled full-time in a program of STEM at one of the five Virginia Space Grant member universities (W&M is one of them) are strongly encouraged to apply.
