With this in mind, please help us "Stay Safe and Finish Strong."
- If you are sick, STAY HOME.
- Wear a face mask or covering at all times while at school.
- Maintain social distancing (6 feet, as much as possible).
- Wash or sanitize your hands often.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue.

Book Spotlight!
This week we focus our spotlight on novels that combine suspense, mystery, science, and magic to create exciting reads for our upper elementary grade students. One is a trilogy and the other is a duology, so you won’t have to say goodbye to the wonderful characters after only one book.
In the series Kiranmala and the Kingdom Beyond, you meet 12-year-old Kiranmala. She lives in New Jersey with her parents and goes to school as a regular sixth grader. Her life is “normal” until a demon comes and tries to kill her and she ends up in another dimension filled with magic. She doesn’t know it yet, but she is an interdimensional demon slayer. Follow Kiranmala’s adventure of discovery in The Serpent’s Secret and then her quest to save the multiverse in Game of Stars. The third book, The Chaos Curse, is on order.
Lacey Chu dreams of going to her dream school that will set her up to work as an engineer at Moncha, the biggest tech firm in the world. She’s devastated when she is rejected entrance into the school but gains a pet when she finds a broken robot cat and fixes it. Jinx, the robot cat, somehow gets Lacey into her dream school, but she soon finds out that Jinx is part of a dangerous secret. Read about Lacey and Jinx in Jinxed and then follow them as they try to stop Moncha from carrying out its evil plan that would change everyone’s lives in Unleashed.
Request library books by filling out the Library Book Request Form. Check out these books and others by searching the Holmes Library catalog by clicking here and then selecting "Holmes Elementary School."
