NACP Parents In the Know
News From Our Principal, Dr. Guerrero
WEEK 23 - March 5, 2021
Message from the Principal
Happy First Week of March!
The past two weeks have been full of events. We held our Annual Enrollment Lottery on February 26, 2021, our parent leaders Graduated from the Project2Inspire Level 2 Program, we held our Success Celebration awards assemblies, we participated in our first Traditional District Validation Review this week, and so much more.
As you may know, we are in the process of creating promotional videos and new flyers to help boost our enrollment for the 2021-2022 School Year. Parents who filled out the Testimonial Survey and indicated they'd like to participate will be contacted this week by one of the Del Sol representatives- Alma, Cindy or Miquitzli. If you know anyone with children entering TK, Kindergarten or First grades in 2021-2022, please reach out to them and invite them to join our amazing school! Word of mouth is sometimes the best way to get the information to others!

CABE: PROJECT 2 INSPIRE GRADUATION
Thank you for allowing me to congratulate you. I am beyond proud of everything you do. I know in the near future you will be the ones giving parent workshops that inspire others to do the same- start small and go big. Also thank you for your understanding, my Father who passed away in June was a huge advocate for education and I could help but think of him when I was addressing you on this special day. The tears were inevitable. I can only imagine what my mom and him could have accomplished if they would of had programs like Project2Inspire when my siblings and I were going through grade school!
I can't forget to thank Mrs. Maria Manriquez your program leader, Maria Villa and our very own Parent Center Coordinator Vanessa Garcia. Thank you for all you do! Y, adelante!

REPORT CARDS
Report Cards
Next week teachers will provide PDF copies of report cards for each student in their class. Please make sure your child's teacher has your current email. After receiving and reviewing your child's report card if you have any questions please reach out to your child's teacher directly and if you need to ask for a meeting during daily office hours.
PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent teacher conferences will be held during the week of March 8-12, 2021. However, at this time teachers will only meet with a few parents. If your child's teacher contacted you to set up a conference at this time please expect to discuss your child's current academic progress, including his/her strengths and areas of growth, resources available to help your child, any intervention strategies the teacher and you will need to put in place to help your child succeed, and so much more. The plan may include strategies to help improve attendance especially if your child has chronic absenteeism.
Remember to..
- talk about your child's strengths
- ask questions
- give your input
