Family Newsletter Update 8/14/2020

Monday is Your First Day!

The last few weeks have brought with them a continuous cycle of change. We wanted you to know that we are very excited to welcome you to school for either in person preschool or remote learning Montessori. You should be receiving phone calls and emails from your teacher with instructions about how to access school safely this year. If you don't hear from them, don't worry. Just give us a call in the front office, 350-2900, and we will make sure we have your accurate contact information and get you caught up on all the details.

MONTESSORI REMOTE LEARNING

Big picture

Device/Materials Pick Up AUGUST 20, 21

Next Thursday and Friday, we will have a device and materials pick up station set up in the car rider line in the lower parking lot. Please come anytime between 9:30-11:30 or 12-2 to pick up your materials. This is a slow process so plan on waiting in line! We will have staff stationed at the elevator/cafeteria entrance to help you. Please stay in your car. We will ask for your child's name and their "last year's" teacher to gather their personal items for you (including yearbooks and school pictures if you ordered them). Someone on staff will hand off the materials at a safe distance. If you are walking, we will have a walker's station for you to wait at while your materials are retrieved.

Every child will receive a HOME KIT that includes manipulatives and information for your child to participate in Montessori lessons and school activities.

If you need a device or hotspot, please let your child's teacher know when they call or email. We want to try and get EVERYONE online in the first two weeks. Until then, classes will be starting slowly and as always they will be individualized for your child's needs.

PRESCHOOL

HAPPY First Day!

Monday will be your first day back and we are so excited to welcome you in person! Please remember to park in the lower parking lot and enter through the front entrance. We will have trained staff on site to help you with a health screening between 7:30-9:00.

Remember that the only personal belongings that you will need will be a change of clothing in a gallon sized zip lock bag and a water bottle (preferably with a straw). Everything else will be provided.

If you have any questions, please call 350-2900.
