Read Across America - Monday, March 2nd - TOMORROW!
Monday, March 2nd, Chalmers Elementary will celebrate National Read Across America Day by dressing up as our favorite book character. We encourage students, parents, and staff to participate! It doesn’t have to be a Dr. Seuss character, it just so happens the day is in conjunction with his birthday. There is no need to go purchase a costume! Be creative and use what is around the house! We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

FFCLA Visits From the High School
On Thursday Feb. 20th, FCCLA members visited W.E. Chalmers Elementary to teach the students about stranger danger. They are working on a "focus on children project", that they presented in Waco last week at the Regional FCCLA conference. They taught a third grade class about the differences between a bad and a good stranger, as well as five ways to stay safe with the "High Five For Safety"

Note From The Principal
Can you believe March is already here ? Spring break will take place in two weeks. The nurse's office has been a busy place this week. I am hoping we can get through these last few weeks of Winter and keep our attendance numbers up. Of course, if your child has a fever, they must stay home until they are fever free for 24 hours. Tomorrow is our dress up day. We will dress up as our favorite book character. Be creative! Don't go and spend a lot of money. Thank you to all who volunteered in our Book Fair. We couldn't have done it without you! Have a great week , Chalmers family!
