Monday Memo
USC Elementary -- You Matter - Every Child - Every Day
Keep Cool!
Please make sure you bring $4.00 to the office for the special recognition committees. This will be a much easier way for each to committee to know how much they have to start with and nobody will have to try and collect from everyone. Thanks!
Homecoming Door Decorating!!! Please feel free to join in the fun of Homecoming by decorating your door! Homecoming week is Sept. 24-28th. The USC football team will be playing against The Chargers from MVL. (their colors are navy blue and Columbian blue)
It would be FUN for the staff and students to see the whole school join in!!!
Monday morning about 9:00 am, I will be calling for the 3rd- 6th grade students selected to attend the Science and Nature Conference. We will meet in the elementary computer lab to register all together. Thanks!
PLAYGROUND
If it isn't raining on Monday, Sept. 17, they will begin to install the pre-school playground. We will not be able to use the playground at all for PE or recess, blacktop and grass only, until they are done with the big equipment. (Hopefully just Monday and Tuesday). Please help by telling your students. Thank you!
Bully Prevention Month
You may order a Bully Prevention Shirt in the Elementary mailroom. We will be asking everyone to wear Orange each Wednesday in the month of October for Bully Prevention Month!

Monday Motivation
Make It Happen! Make Today Great!
According to scientists, the bumblebee’s body is too heavy. It’s wingspan is too small. Aerodynamically, the bumblebee should not be able to fly. However, the bumblebee doesn’t know this fact, so it keeps flying. When you don’t know your limitations, you go out and surprise yourself. In hindsight, you wonder if you really had any limitations. The only limitations a person has are those that are self-imposed. Success is the result of how you think and how you project. If you believe you will succeed, then you probably will. Today, think and know deep down that it will happen and that it will be great! You’re in control to make it happen...or not.
