Positive Representation Matters
Hello Everyone,
As we approach International Day of Women and Girls in Science and celebrate Black History Month throughout the month of February, I wanted to take a moment to encourage you to find the time and the opportunity to talk to your students about how important positive representation in society is. Whether it is Girls, Latinx, African American, or any other marginalized or underrepresented group, it is crucial for our children to see themselves in the books they read, the movies they watch, and the stories they hear. It helps with their social and emotional learning and has a direct impact on their growth as students.
One of our goals is that all of our students are not only getting an academically rigorous experience, but we also ensure that they feel valued, represented, and encouraged. Positive representation is part and parcel of achieving that goal.
As we work together to support your children, please reach out to your teachers, counselors, or administration for ideas, resources, or support. We are here to help!
Enjoy your weekend!
Mr. Fulce
Sr. Fulce

Parents-Is your virtual student failing or not attending classes? We will be in contact!
We will be sending home both email and physical letters notifying some of you that your student will be expected to return to school on February 22. Those students who have consistently been failing or not attending classes will be asked to return to school, in accordance with ECISD and TEA guidance. There will be an appeals process for health reasons, outlined in our communication.
This decision has not been taken lightly, but given the importance of their learning, we want to make sure that they are given the opportunity to be successful.
