CIMS Families -


We were so grateful to celebrate our awesome CIMS staff members this week for Staff Appreciation Week. Huge shoutout to our Creston IMS PTSA, the Jordan Foundation, and our district office for showing your appreciation to our spectacular staff.


Scheduling Information:

Incoming 6-8th grade students have been asked to complete course requests for next year’s classes. Your child has received multiple reminders via email related to how to submit their course requests and class preferences for next school year. Please make sure they take care of this task as soon as possible if they haven't already!


If you have any questions please feel free to contact your child's grade level counselor.


2021-2022 K-8 Virtual / 9-12 Online Learning Program:

  • MSD of Warren Township will continue to offer a virtual learning option for the 2021-2022 school year. Enrollment in the 2021-2022 K-8 Virtual / 9-12 Online Learning Program is limited to a select number of students, and an application is required. Families who wish to participate are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

ILEARN Testing:

Families of fully virtual students have received multiple communications related to ILEARN testing via email. Your testing dates differ from the above dates, depending on grade level. The dates listed below are the dates that virtual learners should report for testing, if your family has already reserved your child's space:

Grade 5 Virtual Testing Dates = 4/28, 4/29, 4/30 - COMPLETE!

Grade 6 Virtual Testing Dates = 5/5, 5/6, 5/7 - COMPLETE!

Grade 7 Virtual Testing Dates = 5/10, 5/11

Grade 8 Virtual Testing Dates = 5/12, 5/13

*If you will be dropping off your student on testing dates, they should be dropped off between 8:45 AM - 9:00 AM at Door 1 at CIMS. Your student will call you when they are ready to be picked up.

*Please also note that cell phones and smart watches are not permitted in testing classrooms - if students do bring them in, teachers will collect these items, place them in a baggie, store in a bin, and return to students safely when testing concludes each morning.


21-22 Enrollment

  • Now Enrolling New Students for 2021-22.
  • If your child currently attends a Warren Township school, you do NOT need to complete online enrollment. Current students who live within Warren Township boundary will be registered automatically for the next school year. For more information, click here.

8th Grade Skating Party

CIMS Students in Grade 8 have received email reminders from Mr. Day regrading the upcoming skating party (May 19th) at the Roller Cave. The deadline to purchase your ticket is May 12th! Be sure your child also turns in the permission form if they plan to attend. There will be no tickets sold at the door on the evening of the skating party.


From the Mediaplex:

Attention: It's that time of year. Please return all books to the Mediaplex no later than May 14, 2021. I will ALWAYS accept books and payments after the 14th, but please try to return on or prior to that date.

8th grade: Make sure you return any books, no matter how overdue, or pay for any lost books. We want to be sure this is taken care of for you before you move on to high school.

Semester 2 Calendar - Grades 6, 7, 8

The schedule below applies to in person / hybrid 6th graders, and ALL 7th and 8th grade students.

All 5th & 6th graders who are 100% virtual will maintain their black/gold schedule by last name for all of semester 2.

NOTE: This calendar has been slightly updated, effective 4/16/2021. The only change is with the final day of the school year, May 28th.

Any Student coming into school for Athletics or Extra-Curricular Activities must follow the procedures below:

Students - ask yourself the following questions BEFORE you leave home to report to school for any athletic or extra-curricular event, practice, or game. If you answer YES to any of the questions, you should stay home and notify your coach/sponsor. If you answer NO to all of the questions, you can enter the building through Door 7 AFTER 4:10 PM. Please contact your coach or sponsor with specific questions!

Car Rider Procedures - AM Arrival

--Enter Door 1

--For your safety, stay in your car until directed by staff to exit.

--8:45 AM is the earliest we may allow students to enter the building.

--Exit only when your vehicle is stopped, along the curb, and you are directed to do so by staff.

--Exit your vehicle on the right side (curb side) to stay as safe as possible.

--Be ready to get out of the vehicle as you pull up to Door 1; please have your items ready to go.

--Follow staff directions at all times.
