Joseph Goebbels was born in October 29, 1897 in Rheydt Germany. In 1933, the year Adolf Hitler became chancellor of Germany, he named Joseph Goebbles , his trusted friend and colleague, to the key post of minister for public enlightenment and propaganda.

Propaganda was important to win over the majority of the German public who had not supported Hitler and to push forward the Nazis' radical program, which required the support of broad sectors of the population.State propaganda was headed by Joseph Goebbels sought to manipulate and deceive the German population and the outside world.They waged campaigns that facilitated the persecution of Jews and others excluded from the Nazi vision of the “National Community.”
