Rākau Nui Newsletter

Term 4, Week 9

13 December 2022

Tēnā koutou katoa

The year has passed by quickly and here we are with the last newsletter of 2022!! Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help out with activities this year, hopefully 2023 will have even more activities for our students.

Thank you Andi

We would like to thank Andi for her hard work with our students this year and wish her all the best for her future.

Bon Voyage, Jenni!

As some of you may know by now, Jenni is taking the year off next year to go travelling. We thank her for all her effort this year and wish her safe travels.

Reports

Reports and information about next year’s teacher will come home tomorrow afternoon. Please make sure you check your child’s bag to find it.

School Photos

School photos are ready to come home but we’ve made the decision to send them tomorrow with reports rather than have them put in bags with wet clothes and damp towels today. Thank you for understanding.

Amnesty

It is that time of year when we ask for all library books, reading books, school t-shirts and any other school equipment to come back to school. You might even come across some of our blue, green and yellow GROW tokens in pockets or at the bottom of school bags - these can be added to the GROW tower in the office please.

Lost Property

We have A LOT of lost property. Please feel free to pop in room 10 to have a look for any missing items. We will spread everything out on Friday so you can see what we have left.

Year 6 Digital Learning

To prevent Year 6s losing their digital work when they move to Intermediate, they should be able to log on to their Google Drive at home and download the folders with their learning in. Any learning in Seesaw can be downloaded as a PDF. This should be done before the end of the school year. If there are any problems with this, please let Jenni or Trelise know and they will try to help with that.

Finally, we would like to thank everyone for their support during 2022 and wish you all a Merry Christmas and happy 2023.
