Tips to being a great family...

  1. Respect one another. Make sure that when you are with your family, you respect what each other has to say, their personal space, and taking care of yourself. Make sure to treat your other family members, the way you wanted to be treated back. *Remember, what goes around, comes around!
  2. Stay safe. To having fun, and having a great time with your family, make sure, you have safety rules that follow. For example, if there was a fire in your house, make a fire plan that in any room, you can all get out safely, and meet each other in one exact spot. Another example, is when you leave toys, or things on the floor, make sure to pick up you messes, (just encase someone trips over your mess, or you hurt yourself).
  3. Be Kind, one another. Make sure you have manners, when you're at the table, or asking for something. Always remember to say, "thank you" when someone gives you something, or does something for you. It shows that you are a polite and kind person. Finally, try to help out your family, in any way, that you can. Just helping your family trow out one piece of garbage, or cleaning the table, would help you parents out so much, that they would think of you, as a superstar!
  4. Have fun! Make sure your family, and you have one day just to chill, and be together, and do a fun activity. This creates, bonding, and makes your family even closer together, than you would have ever imagined. A few ways, to have fun, could be, go to the beach, have a soccer (etc.) ball game at the park, go out to the movies, or go out for dinner, then get ice-cream. Just doing these tiny things, would make your family and you, ten times better, than just sitting around, and doing nothing with you family, all day.

Grab as many marshmallows, (depending on your family number), and sticks, (or plates, if you're planning to cook inside), and get baking! You will each get one marshmallow, 2 Gram crackers, and one piece of chocolate. Next, grab your stick, or plate and start melting, (or burning) your marshmallow, the way you think is perfection! *Make sure for this step you have an adult around, to watch you do this. Finally assemble your smore, and present it to the judge, (family member), to decide which smore is the best! *Remember that everyone is a winner,a and you get to eat your smore, at the end!
  2. Beach Volleyball: Grab your family and head on down to the beach, (or your backyard) and make the field you're playing one have a boundary, to split the field in half, and have outside border boundaries. When you are playing, your goal, to to try and make the other team, drop the ball on their sid eof the feild, to earn a point. Toss the ball around, and once when your side of the field, the ball hits on, the other team would get the point. First to 21 wins! 3. Home fort Challenge: Grab your family, and grab all of the pillows, and blankets, and chairs around your house. Pick teams and take separate areas of the house. Then, wit your team, create, with your materials, the best fort you had ever made in your life! Once when you are done building it, create it with items that make up you, and place it in there. You will have 30 minutes to complete this challenge, and decorate it with items, to make your fort, different from your competitors! Finally, when you are all done, one judge, (or family member), decide which fort is the best, and will pick the winner!
  4. How well can you draw me: This activity, is you take two pieces of paper, and art supplies, and try to draw, the person that is the complete opposite of you. You will have 20 minutes, to draw the best portrait of them, and decorate it with things that they like. Here's the catch: you aren't allowed to speak or ask any questions during this. Once when you are done, show the "masterpiece" to your partner, and you will see who really knows each other, better.

How to make friends...

You're the new kid, who just moved to your new home. You have no idea who's the popular kid, the nerd, or the diva kid. Here's a few ways to make new friends...

  1. Try to get the conversation started. Try to look for the person, that you noticed, fits the personality, you're looking for. Look for things, he or she likes to do, and you like to do, and go from there. For example: " I love____ to! My name is _____. What is your name?" Another way you can get the conversation started, is by talking about their clothing. You could, say "I love your owl shirt! It's a hoot!"
  2. Get yourself out there. Try doing clubs, or after school activities that interest you, and get busy. Also, try to volunteer, for things you feel, in your life are important to you. The sooner, you get started and go outside of your house and explore the world, for what feel it is. For example: If you are artistic, go to mural club after school, or help paint the mural for Memorial Day, that your parents suggested. The more you get off the video games, or Instagram, and do things that you love, with people around, the more friends, you'll get.
  3. Be nice and caring, towards people you want to be friends with. Most people like the caring and kind person, that is there for them when they need it the most, and support them through the tough times. If your friend needs help or is having a hard time about something, try to be kind and find a way to help them, and be caring, if they need a shoulder to cry on, or tell you about their emotions. For example: If your friend gets into a fight and is upset, let her know, hoe great she is as a person, and not let that negativity get to her.
  4. Be yourself. Many people love when people stay true to themselves, it's lets the person know who they really are as a person, and will accept you more of who you are than, who you want to be. When you are yourself, if makes you feel good, and let's your friends know the truth, of who you are. *NEVER be afraid to show the real you. You never know but your friends might like you better, by being yourself, then being a fake.

Tips on being a great sibling...

I hear it all the time: "He did this!" Or, "She did that!" Here are some ways to stop the sibling fighting from happening, and be friendly with one another, and be a happy family...

  1. Listen to one another. When one sibling has something to say to you, or wants to talk to you, listen to what they have to say. Showing that you can listen to them speak and feel about a certain situation, shows your other sibling that you care what they say and will be there for them every step of the way. Listening, could also show that you are mature enough to listen what your sibling wants to talk to you about, and that you want to know how you can help them, if they need help. For example: Your sister got into a huge fight and doesn't know how to solve it. By you listening, you could help her, gain her trust, and let her steam off the stress, she has on herself...
  2. Be kind to one another. There's one more cookie in the jar. Mom said that either you or your sibling could have it.You decide to give it to your sibling, because they had a really tough day and needed that extra "boost" to finish the day off right. You saw the smile on your sibling's face as they took a bit into that yummy cookie. You knew they had appreciate it so much, and knew that you weren't the worst person, after all. Being kind to one another shows, that you have respect for one another, and can support them after a rough day, or a tough day at school. When you are kind to your siblings, it builds a bond between you and your sibling, that will last a life time. Some ways, to be kind to your siblings, are giving your sibling the extra cookie, sharing your new cool I Pad with them, or taking the blame for something, because they are having a tough time. These all show ways to be kind to one another. When these small kindness tasks happen, a huge result will come out in the end...
  3. Have fun with one another. Go outside with your sibling, and play soccer or, basketball for fun, and see who can get the most points. Or, build a fortress in your living room and play pretend with your sibling. There are so many ways to have fun with your sibling that will make you happy and your sibling happy, that is the only thing, you talk about at dinner. When you go out and do something fun with them, it shows how well you can both get along, and have a great time. It's so easy! All you need to do, is find something that you both like, and go do it. *Remember before you do it, make sure you ask a parent, or guardian what you are doing, and where you need to go. Maybe in 20 years from now, this is what you will be talking about, with your own families and kids...
  4. Be thankful. Be thankful for that you are lucky to be with each other and spend moments, with each other all the time. You may not know, but some kids aren't as lucky, and don't get to have that special bond, you and your sibling have. Make sure to live every day to the fullest, and to spend time with each other. We may not know what happens tomorrow, but by you spending time with your sibling and having great memories will surely live on to tell another tale. Be sure to be thankful for you have because family, especially siblings, is one of the hardest things to give up...
