Mao Zedong was the founder of communism. Communism is a government/economy system that promotes a classes society based on a common ownership of products and property. Mao Zedong wanted to lead china.

The long march

In 1934 the long March Mao Zedong was forced out of china by the nationalist party leader Chiangmai Kai shek with 700,00 troops. Mao's troop marched 6,000 miles west in order to escape. During the March Mao had lost at least 93,000 during his devastating journey he was able to get support of the many peasant farmers he met across China. Those peasant farmers would help Mao Zedong lead china into communist revolution after World War II

Establishment in china

After World War II Japan was forced to give back territories to china. The civil war resumed between nationalists forces. Chiangmai Kai shek was leading the KTM political party. Mao Zedong was leading CCP (China's Communist Party. Mao Zedong army and the peasant supporter that had helped him and his troops in the long march defeated nationalists. In October 1st , 1949 Mao had created And became chairman do the people republic of china (the largest) communist country in the world .

The Great Leap Forward

Mao Zedong wanted china to become the most powerful country in the world. To do that he needed china to become more industrialized. Mao had decided he could get peasant farmers to produce steel and work in the factories but, the lack in farmers caused nutrition and crops .There was many droughts to grow crops too. Millions of people in china died and starved.

Cultral Revolution

Revolution means to change, Mao Zedong brought change to china. when china through communist and used for his powerful government to also change the culture in china. Mao Zedong did not want china to focus on traditions of the past or did he want citizens to be influenced by foreign idea. He wanted the people of china to focus on celebrating the power of the government. Religions were banned and self expression through the arts were also outlawed. Those who mocked the government suffer the consequences or were killed.

The Vietnam War

In the vietnam war many people sufferred and died. onece the vietnamese defeated the french an international peace was given to the Geneva. It was finally decided that vietnam would be divided at the 17th parallel. north veitnam's leader HO CHI MINH and his communist forceswould run the government. south vietnam's leader non-communist governement of president Ngo Dinh Diem.

The Korean War

many people had suffered and died in the war. following world war II japanese took control over korea. the soviet and american presence that split the country into 2. north korea was communist . south korea was democratic. In June 1951, the second phase of the korean war started it would last at least about 2 years. the war last up to 3 years and ended in a stalemate. an armistic was declared in 1953. the armistic had ended athe korean war remains the longest cease-fire in the modern military history.

did containment of communsim work?

Well , I ask myself that. Yes, I believe containment of communism worked. There were 6 countries that had became communist and still are. ( China , North Korea, Cuba, Vietnam, Laos) in my opinion The Domino Theory failed. The whole world could of became communist but, it didn't on 6 countries did for me that's pretty good.
