Welcome to Mayde Creek: The Best School in the Universe!

Letter To The Mayde Creek Family

Good Evening Mayde Creek Family,

I hope this email finds you safe and secure from the devastating floods that have severely impacted the students, staff, and community of Mayde Creek. Many of our students, faculty and staff are currently dealing with the effect of losing their homes and property due to the storm damage. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those in need as well as those first responders who are working to provide rescue efforts.

We appreciate all of those who continue to volunteer their time, efforts, and supplies to support the shelters in our area. I spent last evening and morning volunteering in one of the local shelters. The courage and resilience exemplified by those impacted by the floods is a testament to the strength and determination of our community. You cannot help but come away inspired by the resolve and kindness expressed by those impacted as well as those willing to help others.

Please know that the Mayde Creek staff recognizes there are many stories and struggles as everyone works through the aftermath of the past few days. We know this is only the beginning of a recovery effort that will take much time. If you have questions regarding Katy ISD facilities and school closures, please visit We will keep you informed of any updates as they occur.

As I mentioned earlier, I know that many of you have been affected by this storm. In the coming days, we can explore the many ways our school can make a positive difference in this community that has suffered so greatly.

My thoughts are with all of The Mayde Creek Family during this time. We will make it through this together.

Help Support The Mayde Creek Relief Effort

A group of the best teachers and staff in the Universe, The Mayde Creek High School Teachers, have worked together to find a way to gather supplies for our students who have been impacted by the strorm. We are partnering with schools in areas not impacted who want to help. As of 10:00am this morning we have raised over $15,000.00 in donated items and the amount is growing. Please consider sharing the post below on Facebook, Social Media, with Corporate Sponsors, Family and Friends not impacted by the storm, etc. We are focusing on new items from an Amazon list created by group sponsors. If you post this on Facebook, make sure you make the post public so others can share. Thanks for helping us help The Mayde Creek Family! Below is a sample of what others have posted:

As many of your know (I work at or I attend) a high school campus in Katy ISD off of barker and i10. We have 2000+ families many of which have lost everything in the devastating floods. I am working with a group of teachers to organize supplies for families. We can't use money or gift cards but we need every day supplies.

This link:

This will bring buyers to a list of things they can purchase that will be sent directly to us so we can distribute.

If you can forward this out to your contacts and ask if they can consider purchasing an item. If they can't, forwarding on the info alone will help our families tremendously.

This is a devastating time for many. If you have been unaffected and want to help in some way, please consider doing this.
