In the Know...
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! We are looking forward to an amazing year together. We will be welcoming many new faces to Robinson this year, some students and some staff. We are excited to be together, in-person for five full days of learning.
If you're new to us, this is our family newsletter that you will receive via email at 9:00 am almost every Sunday. The newsletter will include important, building-wide information for the upcoming week, as well as celebrations highlighting the amazing things happening at Robinson. This first newsletter features back to school information including our 2021-2022 Family Handbook. We appreciate your attention to the important info below that will help our school year be a success!
We have a lot of back to school information in our back to school newsletter which I sent on Monday. If you did not receive it or want to view it again, click here- Back to School 21-22. This newsletter has our school supply information and information about PTO.
Thank you PTO for sponsoring all of our Popsicles at the Playground events! This was a great way for families to connect to one another and us!
As always, please reach out via email or phone if you need anything, and continue to check out our website for updated school information. Thank you for your support. We look forward to an amazing year together.
Take Care-

Visitors at the Elementary Level
As shared in the KSD eSpotlight on Wednesday, visitors will be permitted inside of school buildings. All visitors will need to adhere to the health and safety protocols in place for staff and students.
At the elementary level within KSD, visitors will be a phased-in approach. For the start of school, this means visitors can come into the main office only during school hours. This includes the first day of school so be sure to take photos and say goodbyes outside!
Our first priority is rebuilding our Robinson school community as a whole. Last year, we had a number of students and staff members at home the entire school year. On August 24, we can’t wait to welcome EVERY Robinson kid, and EVERY Robinson staff member back in person.
As we navigate coming together as a school, we will continue to work toward our next goal of welcoming back our families and community to our beloved Robinson events. Stay tuned on when we will be able to allow visitors throughout our school.
2021-2022 Robinson Family Handbook
All families need to fill this out to tell us how your child will get home each day
THANK YOU!!!!
Don't forget to drop your iPad off tomorrow or Wednesday!!!
Students keeping an iPad over summer will need to turn in their iPad before school begins next year.
All students will be receiving a new iPad once school begins on August 24th.
However, students who do not turn in their summer device WILL NOT receive a new iPad. This includes 5th graders/rising 6th graders. The Middle School will not issue your new technology until you have returned the device being used over the summer to Robinson.
Please drive through the front half circle and someone will be outside the front doors to collect your device from you.
Collection Drive thru times are:
Monday, August 9th and Wednesday, August 11th
9am-10am and 4pm-5pm
First Day of School Photo Op at Robinson
Although meals will be free to all children again this year; filling out and qualifying for free/reduced meals has the additional benefit of extending reduced costs for iPad/computer insurance and exam costs. In addition, because we are a Title I building based on the number of students qualifying for this program we as a building get additional funding. Currently we use this funding to provide a second counselor and Literacy Coach as well as additional programs and supplies for students. We will be providing these forms in paper copies at Open House and you may complete them ahead of time via this link: https://www.kirkwoodschools.org/Page/843
Once electronic documents are completed, you will email them to: shannon.orelup@kirkwoodschools.org
If you need confidential assistance with this process, please reach out to Mrs. Tonya Ampey-Elong, our school social worker. Thanks!
