Dear Regency Place Families -

Welcome Back! The first day of the new school year is on Wednesday, August 10, and we are SO EXCITED to have our Knights back in the castle. Please be sure to read through this entire newsletter to see important information that will help us prepare for a successful start to the year.

I have listed some important dates at the bottom of the newsletter, and you can also follow this link to the NEISD District Calendar. I will continue to update the important dates listed below as more information becomes available. One thing you might notice is the addition of monthly early release days. Please be sure to mark those on your calendar so appropriate arrangements can be made for your child to be dismissed at 1:00 pm.

Here is the link to the 2022-2023 School Supply lists. If there is any reason you are having a difficult time obtaining the necessary school supplies, please reach out to our Family Specialist, Analisa Barrera. We will make sure all of our Knights have the supplies they need.

As you will also see below our Meet the Teacher will take place on August 8 at the following times:

  • 5:15 - 6:00 Last names beginning with A - L
  • 6:00 - 6:45 Last names beginning with M - Z

Meet the Teacher

This year's Meet the Teacher will be held on August 8. This will be a great time to drop off supplies, pick up your car rider tags, and introduce yourself to your child's teacher. Please make every effort to follow the times listed below so we can help control the flow of families coming into the campus.

  • 5:15 - 6:00 Last names beginning with A - L
  • 6:00 - 6:45 Last names beginning with M - Z

Teachers will receive their class lists and begin calling their students to verbally welcome them on Thursday, August 4.

Safety Updates

Your child's safety is our top priority at all times. We will always be transparent about our efforts to provide a safe environment and we welcome any questions you might have. One area you will notice a change is at the MacArthur View entrance during morning drop-off. Previously we allowed parents and guardians to walk their children up to the cafeteria doors, but this year no visitors will be allowed to enter in the morning unless they go through the main entrance on Broadway and provide their ID to receive a visitor's badge.

There might be times when our procedures are inconvenient or take a little longer than usual, but we believe the extra time and effort are worth it for the safety of our campus. Thank you in advance for your patience and your help.

Free Breakfast & Lunch for All Students

We want to make sure that you are aware that breakfast and lunch are FREE for all Regency Place students this school year. You do not need to qualify for this benefit. Students will have to pay for any extras that they would like at each meal.

Please have your student join us for a nutritious and delicious meal in the cafeteria starting on August 10!

Menus can be viewed at School Nutrition / Home (neisd.net) or on the School Café app.

Please call the School Nutrition office if you have any questions at 210-356-9100.
