Segregation

What segregation is

Segregation separated Black people from White people. It was a HORRIBLE thing. Some people liked it, and some people didn’t. The Ku Klux Klan helped lead up to the BAD segregation. Finally it was made illegal in 1964.

Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks was born February 4, 1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama. She was one of the most important people in the 21st century. Rosa helped to stop segregation. One day Rosa was sitting in a public bus and there were no more white section seats. When they told her to get out of her seat, she said "no!". Then she got arrested. She started the bus boycott. Rosa died October 24, 2005.
