Welcome!
Throughout the school year, I used kindness-based projects to promote SEL,Self Development and Digital Citizenship skills. With the help of technology, my students made meaningful connections that helped them grow personally, establish better peer relationships, and connect with their school community and beyond. Below are examples of class Tweets, Blog Posts, Playlists and a variety of other artifacts. Please visit the resources to learn how our class attitudes, emotions, and relationships evolved.

Deidre Kinoshita
Deidre Kinoshita has been teaching children in some form for over 30 years. The majority of her career, until this year, had been spent in schools where teachers wear an immeasurable amount of hats to support students who come to school lacking many basic social emotional learning tools. Venturing into the upper grades this year, she felt strongly the need to help the students connect to themselves and the community through technology, since it is such a large part of their world.
