Construction Update - By Ed Dyer, Project Manager
There has been a lot of progress at the Summerside and Willowville construction sites! The masonry contractors have been busy getting the block laid up so both buildings can be under roof and closed in during January. Temporary heat and electric will be in place to allow the interior finishes to be completed over the winter months.
The concrete floors have been poured on both the first and second floors with the stairwells to follow.
The mechanical contractor has been installing electrical, security and technology conduit and switch gear as spaces become available. The plumber is installing hangers and piping and completing rough-in. The HVAC contractor has been installing duct work and piping.
Roofing has started and will continue in areas that the steel and decking is in place and ready to be roofed.
The base course of pavement has been installed in areas that would not be damaged by construction. Insulation of the exterior of the building along with brick will be starting and progress as the weather allows.
We are happy to report that construction of the new Summerside and Willowville Elementary buildings are progressing on budget and on schedule.
Thank You!
West Clermont LEAD Ready formed effective Rotary Interact Club
West Clermont's 2017 and 2018 LEAD Ready classes decided to form a Rotary Interact Club in partnership with the Cincinnati Eastside Roatry Club. Interact clubs bring together young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self - the chance to make a real difference while having fun.
Wolves LEADers presented their work to Cincinnati Eastside Rotary members... and what an impressive presentation it was! Click on the link below to read the full story.

HealthSource of Ohio Wolves Wellness Center - Eye Care
Being able to see well is key to success both in school and in life. Unfortunately, many children suffer from vision problems that either go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed as behavioral issues or developmental delays. Untreated vision problems can make student learning extremely difficult. The good news is that the West Clermont Wolves Wellness Center offers vision services to its students. School-based screening programs, along with referrals and follow-up, can increase treatment rates for students suffering from issues.
According to the center’s Optometrist, Dr. Lauren Pallet, “Our unique setting provides the ability to educate children about the importance of their eyes, general health, and preventive medicine.” Screenings and vision services are offered at the School-based Health Center located in the Middle School. Appointments are available to the entire family. Please call 732-5082 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
