What's Going On At Parchment Middle School
Welcome to Parchment Middle School
Welcome back to another school year! The entire staff are excited to have students in the building, even if it looks and feels a little different.
This year will be different, but so far it is going pretty smooth. Our hybrid learners are off to a great start and are now getting the hang of the at home learning expectations, the virtual Wednesday schedule and the in-person routines.
Our remote learners and families have been working hard to learn new routines and navigate new systems for content delivery and instruction.
We appreciate all of you as schooling in general is hard, but this year has proven to be one of the most difficult. We are proud of all our students, staff and families for working together to make this school year the best it can be.
Fall 2020 Hybrid Parent - Teacher Phone Conference
This conference set up is for families in the hybrid model. The format for parent/teacher conferences will look different this year. Conferences at the middle school are just as important as they were before; probably more so as we learn together in this hybrid model. Conferences will take place via phone call from the teacher. All you need to do is sign up for a time that will work for you to take this phone call. We understand that in the middle school your child may have up to 7 teachers. Please feel free to arrange a phone call with as many as you can/want. To accommodate as many families as we can, calls will be roughly 7 minutes each.
Conference times are as follows:
Tuesday, October 13th from 4-7:30 pm
Wednesday, October 14th from 1-3pm
(no small groups this day)
Thursday, October 15th from 4-7:30 pm and
Friday, October 16th from 12-3 pm
(half day students, dismissal at 10:57 am)

For virtual students coming into the building, a mask must be worn until they are ready to take your photo and only students can enter the building. Parents will not be allowed in. The staff will work as quickly as they can to get photo taken and get your student back to you outside.
The Positivity Project
Parchment Middle School has partnered with The Positivity Project to empower our students to build positive relationships. Our staff focus on character education each day and work with students to build positive relationships. Our focus this year is centered on helping students become their best selves. We as leaders play a strong role in the overall climate and culture of our building. With a focus on building up our students and reinforcing their positive character traits, we look forward to a school that shows Parchment P.R.I.D.E
(be positive, be responsible, show integrity, be determined and show empathy)
Checking Grades
Parents can check the progress/grades of their student(s) at any time with Synergy PVU. If you need your sign-on information please contact the office at 269-488-1200 and we can email this to you. Having this access will allow you to log into PVU and see your child's attendance, tardiness and up to date grades.
Progress reports will be sent home for you to view before Fall 2020 Parent/Teacher Conferences. Please notify the office if you do not receive this mailer so we can verify correct mailing address if needed.
Yearbooks
Walsworth Publishing is the company we use for Yearbooks. HR Imaging is our picture company. Please note, they may be different companies than other schools within the district.
