Well, it's time to showcase your skills and enter the first ever Young Author's Writing Showcase!

What?
Young Author’s Writing Showcase
Why?
The project aims to inspire our young writers to write to their best abilities, find enjoyment in writing, and publish work for others to read.
Who?
All Elementary School students grades 1-6
How?
Writing Theme: How to Make the World a Better Place!
Categories: Narrative, Opinion, Expository/Informational, Research, & Poetry
All entries must include a name, grade, and category (Narrative, Opinion, Expository/Informational, Research, & Poetry)
Students may choose to co-author one piece. The piece will count as one submission for each child.
Students may work on their writing at school or at home.
Entry may be typed or hand-written.
Judging will be based on the following:
1. Ideas and creativity
2. How well the piece fits the category
3. Grammar
One exemplar piece and two honorable mentions will be selected per grade level for each category.
Exemplar authors will receive:

When?
Entries will be accepted from November 4th to March 28.
Exemplar pieces will be selected and announced on April 4th.
The week of April 7th-11th exemplar writing will be presented at the Author's Tea
