The District Tech Department shared some additional suggestions to address Zoom connection issues. Zoom connections should be improved for the start of school on Monday. Joining Zoom from Google Classroom

Storybook Pumpkin Character
Storybook Pumpkin Characters
It would not be October at Nancy Young Elementary without our Storybook Pumpkin Character display! This year, we will be collecting pictures of your book-themed pumpkins and adding them to a school slideshow.
Here are the details:
• Choose a character from a favorite book for your pumpkin.
• Be Creative! Use paper, glue, paint, markers, pipe cleaners, fabric, or other craft items on the pumpkin.
• Families with more than one student can turn in a Family Project. Or, siblings may decorate a pumpkin individually.
Students may start submitting pictures of their pumpkins on Monday, October 5th!
Please fill out the form and upload a picture of your pumpkin. Storybook Pumpkin Character
You will need to log in with a Google account to do so. The picture should only include the pumpkin, NOT the pumpkin and your child.
All participants will have their photos added to a school slideshow.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Ranucci at blaire_ranucci@ipsd.org
Reflections Program
Welcome to the 2020-2021 Reflections Program!
Reflect on the theme, create artwork, and be recognized!
PTA Reflections is a nationally acclaimed student recognition program to encourage artistic creativity at home. Students of all grades (K-12) and abilities may participate, explore the arts and reflect their thoughts based on the 2020-2021 theme: “I Matter Because...”.
Given the impact of COVID-19, student participation in arts programs like Reflections is now more important than ever to help them process their thoughts and feelings. As many students will be learning remotely, we will be running our Reflections programs virtually. This year, you can submit your Reflections submission form and artwork online.
Following are the Art Categories:
· Dance Choreography
· Film Production
· Literature
· Musical Composition
· Photography
· Visual Arts
· Special Artists
Last date to submit your artwork: Thursday, October 29th, 2020
Submit your artwork online: https://sites.google.com/view/ippc-reflections
You will also find all the competition rules and guidelines on the google site mentioned above.
