Hailey's Red Wagon Parade Need You!
Hailey is ready to repeat our Championship victory of the College Park Red Wagon Parade - and we need your help. The rules have changes slightly this year, so please read closely.
The theme will be Paris. We are working on the float, but we need students and families to help make our entry special. Students will be able to choose their "character" in the parade. The first students to arrive at the Hailey parade staging area will choose from the following characters:
- Bakers - white chef hat, white apron, wooden spoon (quantity 30)
- Artists - colored apron, paint wheel, paint brush (quantity 30)
- Parisian child - beret, scarf, paper moustache (student must wear white shirt or black & white striped shirt) (quantity 30)
- Work of art - student carries a frame to highlight them as a work of art (quantity 30)
These characters are first come - first serve and there is a limited number of characters! Families may order their own items to participate, otherwise, please arrive early to select the character your child wants.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS:
- Only assigned assigned chaperones and students walk with the parade.
- Only assigned chaperones and staff members in the staging area.
- Spectators of float participants are asked to be standing along the parade route by 6:10pm (this includes sidewalks and grassy area).
PTA Spirit Gear Delivery
Thank you to all of the families that were able to attend Parent Information Night. The is a perfect opportunity for the home/school connection to build. For those who were unable to attend and pick up spirit wear, t-shirts and other items will be distributed on Thursday, August 30 in order for students to have the opportunity to wear them next Friday. If you are interested in joining the Hailey PTA and ordering spirit wear, please see the flyer below.

Any parents or community members interested in participating should complete the form at the linked site by Wednesday, August 30th. https://www.conroeisd.net/school-cell-phone-committee/
Become a Library Volunteer!
The library is in need of parent volunteers to work one shift a week or one shift every other week. Library volunteers help check out books to students, return books to the shelves, and work on specials projects. Volunteering in the library is a great way to meet other parents and get involved with the school.
Morning Volunteer Shift
8:20 - 10:50
Classes include Grades 1-3.
Afternoon Volunteer Shift
1:10 - 2:50
Classes include Kindergarten and 4th grade.
Pre-K volunteers work on an as needed basis.
CISD Heat Advisory Message
With continued record heat in our area, we want to be especially mindful of those members of our community who may be more susceptible to heat-related illness due to medical conditions or age. Home varsity football games in Conroe ISD are streamed for free on our Athletics YouTube Channels, and we encourage anyone who has not built up a tolerance to these temperatures to enjoy the games from the comfort of their own home in the air conditioning.
Watch North Shore HS at The Woodlands HS
Watch Katy Paetow HS at Conroe HS
For anyone who feels they must watch the game in person, we encourage you to bring an empty water bottle and utilize our free water stations so you can stay hydrated. Please also dress in light colored, breathable clothing and drink plenty of fluids before attending. We will have cooling stations and medical professionals on site. There will be many opportunities this season to watch a game under the Friday night lights when temperatures are cooler.
Listen to Dr. Null talk about heat safety at football games.

Hailey Watch DOGS!
WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students) is a family and community engagement educational initiative. There are 2 primary goals of the WATCH D.O.G.S. program:
1. To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
2. To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.
We believe that all of us want the same things for our kids and these values unite us. This program serves to bring communities closer together based on these values-based goals. Ultimately, our purpose is to change the country for the better by doing our small part to provide support to our educators and encouragement to our children.
Follow the steps below to get started!
- Complete the CISD Volunteer Application.
