Re-Enrollment Announcement!
Hello Parents/Guardians,
Thank you so much for all of your help with Re-Enrollment. It was a great success!
Beginning now through the end of the summer, we will be having an Incentive for new Enrollment. Any current parent/guardian who refers a new student to our school, HSI, and the new student enrolls and starts school in August will receive a free Uniform shirt. The applicant must put your name down in the Referral section when completing the application. This incentive is per student, so if a family has 3 students who have been accepted and start with us in August, 2020, you will receive 3 free shirts.
Feel free to contact the front office if you have any questions. Thank you.

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) at Home!
February Focus is Relationship Skills
Communication
Best Practices You Can Start At Home:
-Communicate Clearly: Effective communication requires the use of “verbal and nonverbal skills to express oneself”. Communication involves not only speaking clearly and conveying ideas appropriately, but also understanding body language, facial expressions, and gestures that can contribute to accurate delivery and perception.
- Vary the speed and tone of your voice, pause during transitions, and maintain eye contact to model positive speaking.
- Brainstorm goals with your children about what effective communication looks and sounds like; visibly post in the room.
- Actively listen to your child, giving them your full attention even when you're tempted to multitask.
- Make sure the technology you use doesn't take the place of, but instead supplements, face-to-face interaction.
Modeling the behavior you are wanting to see in your child will go a long way!
