A Note from Mrs. Lee
Dear Parents,
Happy Harvest Full Moon! I hope you and your family will spend a little time seeing a rare full moon tomorrow night.
I wanted to remind you about the arrival time for school. Our bikers and walkers are doing an amazing job at showing up around 7:30 am. For those carpool riders, I ask that you arrive early as well. We are still experiencing an influx of cars around 7:40 am. Due to the traffic, those children are barely getting inside the school by 7:45. After 7:45, students get a tardy slip. We want to help students get a great start of school for each day. Thank you, in advance, for your support.

Skaggs Peanut Butter Drive
Student council will be starting the PB drive on Monday and ending on Sept 27. Attached is the flier. Feel free to share in your weekly emails.
The council voted for a grade level competition with the teachers of the winning grade level getting to choose the prize (each class in the winning grade level could even vote on what they wanted – or by the whole grade level- your choice!)! They suggested 15 minutes extra recess, loose your shoes, or bring a stuffed animal. A collector will be down to your grade during their recess time to collect and count.
WE NEED BOXES!!!! If you have any boxes around your grade level (medium-ish size- like copy paper box or a little bigger) please send them down to me!!!!!
Nurses Corner
With the start of a new school year, it is best to remind all parents and student of the general guidelines for keeping the school healthy and when to keep your students home.
When do I keep my child at home?
Many parents are unsure when to keep a child at home with an illness. Please keep your child home if they have any of the following symptoms:
- A temperature of 100.0 degrees or more in the previous 24 hours (please keep your child home until they have been fever-free for 24 hours to avoid spread of infection).
- Diarrhea or vomiting in the previous 24 hours (please keep your child home until symptom-free for 24 hours).
- If your child wakes up with one or both eyes that are red or pink, oozing green or yellow fluid or has matter stuck to the eyelids, please keep your child home and call your Doctor. Your child may have pink eye (conjunctivitis) which is EXTREMELY contagious until they have had 24 hours of prescription eye drops.
- If your child has a moist cough that is difficult to control with over-the counter medications, or your child is coughing up green or yellow sputum, please keep your child home and check with your Doctor.
Lost & Found is now located outside the office
