APRIL 8 - SPRING RECESS

Spring Recess

Next week, students and staff will be off for Spring Recess. Schools will reopen on Tuesday, April 19.

I would like to wish our entire STEM Academy Community a happy and healthy break. From time to time, we all need to take a step back to refresh and recharge our bodies and minds. My hope for our students and staff is that we spend the week relaxing with family and friends, so that we return mentally prepared for the remainder of the school year.

Thank You STEM Teachers and Staff

Additionally, this is a great time to acknowledge and appreciate the work of the STEM Academy teachers and staff. This particular school year has presented us with challenges that we have not seen before. Through it all, our team has persevered and continued to deliver for our students. Please join me in my appreciation for our amazing faculty and staff!

ASYNCHRONOUS DAY FOR NON-TESTING STUDENTS

April 26 - Asynchronous for Non-Testers

Spring testing will begin shortly after we return from the break. April 26 will be our busiest day, with PSSA, SAT and Nocti exams all occurring at once. In order for us to provide the most ideal testing environment possible on that day, all non-testing students will stay home and have asynchronous assignments.

The following groups of students will be testing. Be aware their attendance in-person is mandatory:

All students in Grade 7

All students in Grade 8

All students in Grade 11

10th Grade students who receive SAT invitations

12th Grade students who are enrolled in CTE Programs (Engineering or Communications Technology)

If you have questions about whether your student should report to school on April 26, please contact Ms. Memon (mmemon@chesteruplandsd.org), Ms. Turner-Wright (cturnerwright@chesteruplandsd.org) or Ms. Hargadon (chargadon@chesteruplandsd.org). You can also call the office at 610-447-3650.

NEW STUDENT ADMISSIONS

2022-23 Admissions

The New Student Application for the upcoming 2022-23 school year is now available. We are encouraging all current STEM families to share this application with friends, family members and neighbors who have students eligible to attend STEM next year.

We have availability for students entering Grades 7, 8 and 9 next year. Additionally, we invite students entering Grades 10, 11 and 12 to apply as well. The Early Admission Period lasts until April 22, and we encourage applications to be submitted by that date.
