The reason that I want to become a police officer is because I like to work with people and help those in need. Becoming a police officer has many benefits. I want to work outside with people and being a cop is a very flexible job.

Career Details

Duties: Protect the general public.

Hours/working schedule: At least 40 hours a week

Working locations: City, station, communities

Salary/Wage potentional: Avg. of $50,000 a year.

Step 1: Take Postsecondary Courses

Step 2: Pass Background Checks and Physical Exams

Step 3: Choose an Area of Specialty

Step 4: Complete Police Academy
