Flyers Spirit Day and Virtual Meeting with the Creator of Gritty
Thank you to Ms. Reesha Grosso for making this unique event available to our students.
This is an opportunity for students to hear about the creative process behind how Gritty came to be. Students will learn more about the careers of artist and illustrator as we look at ways "Creativity Takes Courage" this year.
Message from Ms. Dilks - Updates for Marking Period 2
1. During WIN, all students are being asked to check and respond to their student email. Teachers communicate with students this way and it's important for them to get in the habit of checking and responding to their email.
2. All students have been given a digital agenda book. Parents who would like to have this document shared with them can ask their child to share it with them electronically. This would allow you to monitor this document if you would like access. Here is a sample: Grade 6 Digital Agenda Book and Grades 7 and 8 Agenda Book. Students are being asked to complete this throughout the day and to finish filling it out during WIN If needed.
3. All teachers will be running a Google Meet during WIN for drop in support. Students can drop in to the meet to get help, ask a question, or schedule a time for an appointment for more extended help. We hope this will make getting help during WIN more accessible for all students.
We continue to experiment with different approaches to assist students. Middle school is a great time to learn study skills in terms of managing an agenda book as well as learning how to reach out for help from a teacher.
I encourage all parents to check their students' grades in the Home Access Center at least once a week if possible. Report cards are being published this week on Thursday. Thank you for your continued support.

Information from Our School Nurse
This document was first sent out in the beginning of the school year. We want to remind our families that this checklist is on the virtual backpack and the school district website. Click here for the link to complete Health Information document. The Daily Health Monitoring Checklist can be seen below and is under Quick Links on the MA website.
People often believe that a fever is the presenting symptom for COVID-19 and that if your child does not have a fever, then it is not COVID. This is not the case or trend in the pediatric population.
Thank you for your continued compliance with health and safety protocols.
Health Requirement Reminders:
All Grade 6 students are required to turn in a Physical Exam Form.
All Grade 7 students are required to turn in a Dental Exam Form.
Completed forms should be sent to Mrs. Donna Liberg at dliberg@lmtsd.org.
