Remote Learning Update
December 1, 2020
First Whole School Remote Period for the 2020-21 School Year
Our intent for any remote period is to help make any transitions as seamless as possible from the classroom to your home. Our teachers have taught explicit skills so the students will be as independent as possible when remote. This is important because we know many of you have jobs, and some of your children are at sitters or with relatives. From my observations and conversations yesterday and thus far today, I am very pleased with the skills our students have mastered this fall to allow them to be fully engaged in remote learning.
When we return to in-person learning this Friday, December 4th, our teachers will have the opportunity to work with students on any areas that might need to be addressed. We will constantly be working to improve!
If there is anything we can do to help you and your child during this (or any) remote period, please let us know.
Chromebooks
If you have witnessed your child on the Chromebook this week, you will understand that it is much more than a piece of technology. The Chromebook is an educational tool that students use daily. It is very important that the Chromebooks return to school on Friday in your child's backpack. Chargers can remain at home.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
