Family Newsletter - Week of May 25, 2020
Last Two Weeks of the School Year for 2019-2020
This week we have three days of school, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Next week we have Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday is Wellness Wednesday with our district Virtual Field Day, and then Thursday and Friday.
We are busy wrapping up our year with virtual celebrations, drive thru pick up of items at LBC and for the TRHS seniors. Our elementary teachers will be delivering report cards and a summer learning packet to each of their student's homes. Social distancing rules and expectations will take place during this drop off of materials.
This has been a whirlwind of a year. We collectively did the best we could under the circumstances and we will continue to meet students needs through our lunch program, weekly pick up of summer learning ideas at our lunch sites. Some of our students will have the opportunity to continue to learn virtually.
I will continue to put out a weekly Newsletter with updates for families over the summer to keep you informed of our plans for the 2020-2021 school year. The best way to get in touch with me is my email or cell phone. This information at the bottom of every newsletter.
As always, if you have questions as we wrap up this year, please reach out to your child's teacher, principal or me. Together we can accomplish so much more for your child.
Enjoy link together. The theme is kindness and patriotism and is great for family viewing. Make certain you mark the Virtual TRHS Talent Show on your calendar for this Friday at 7:00 p.m. Details are below.

Report Cards and Summer School
All students grades Kindergarten through 8th grade will receive a summary/feedback report card for the second semester of 2019-2020 in the postal mail. Elementary Report cards will be delivered to each student's home. Middle school and TRHS will be available via Skyward and mailed. These reports will be received the week of June 8, 2020.
Students grades 9 - 12 will receive a report card with grades A-B-Pass-Incomplete. All students with incomplete grades will have summer school to earn a Pass. If students do not receive a pass the grade will turn to zero and they will need to retake the course. We encourage parents to support their child to achieve successful completion of all courses.

Three Universal Truths
1. WE BELIEVE β Children succeed when they are surrounded by adults who believe they can succeed, No Exceptions.
2. WE CONNECT β Children succeed when they have meaningful and sustainable relationships with caring adults.
3. WE TIME TRAVEL β Children succeed when they can articulate their future in four domains rather than one, (which is generally Education & Career): Home & Family, Education & Career, Community & Service, and Hobbies & Recreation.
