All Palouse Prairie parents and caregivers are invited to attend our "Kick-off the School Year" meeting, which has been rescheduled to 9/28 at 7 pm on Zoom due to another school event. Watch for the zoom link in an upcoming Quail Call. This is your chance to share your ideas, and learn more about how you can help our school! Playground Update
Through the end of August we have raised $16,345 toward our $25,000 goal. Our next phase will include installing slides, a swingset and ball court. We are so grateful to all our donors!! Please help us spread the word to reach our fundraising goal!
Changes to September Lunch Menu
Choice lunch will be cheese sandwich instead of peanut butter and jelly until further notice. The district is out of peanut butter short-term. On 9/23 lunch will be pulled pork sandwiches, not beef rib sandwiches. Contact

Reminder: School Grounds Open at 8:10
School grounds open at 8:10 a.m. For the safety of your children, please do not drop them off any earlier. We do not have staff monitoring the school grounds before 8:10 a.m. If you need to drop off your child before 8:10 a.m., Before School Care is available for a reasonable fee. If the cost of BSC is prohibitive for your family, please contact the office for information about BSC scholarships.

Palouse Prairie will operate in person, five days per week, with rigorous safety protocols maintained, including consistent indoor mask-wearing by all students and teachers, regardless of vaccination status, distancing as feasible, hand-washing and sanitizing, and isolation of individuals who have symptoms or who have been exposed.
If your family has an exposure or positive case, please notify our Director, Jeneille Branen immediately at jbranen@palousepraririeschool.org and refer to our PPCS COVID Scenarios document for details. All Covid safety related information is easily accessible on our website under the Covid Tab at the top of the homepage.
Required Forms from Parents
Parents/Guardians if you have not filled out an Income Determination Form or the Tech Use Agreement, please do so at your earliest convenience. The link for the forms is
here. Return the form(s) to the office. Thank you for helping us get these forms completed and turned in.
If Your Student Rides the Bus
Parents please make sure that you have called the bus barn to arrange for your child to ride the bus. Contacting the bus barn every year is necessary to ensure that your child has a spot on the bus. Contact Jim Shook at 208-882-3933 or email: shookj@msd281.org.
