Professional Growth: Domain 2, 3 , 4
Marzano's Domains 2, 3, 4 has been added this year to capture the entirety of the professional growth system. Earlier in the year, we held several informational sessions and provided resources to increase your understanding and practice in these areas. The Admin. Team is in the process of finalizing these Domains in iObservation. Please view the link to review the specific teacher and student evidence for each element as well as the scale. Click here.
Domain 2: Planning & Preparing
Domain 3: Reflecting on Teaching
Domain 4: Collegiality & Professionalism
Video on Domain 3 & 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNuEmoy-CPA&list=PLePIpkPldBjEzWhPmsQqyPSs--LLtkL8v
The evidence in these Domains have been open in iObservation all year to increase reciprocal communication. Feel free to add evidence (which could be a narrative), although not mandatory, under any elements that you feel would assist in providing a more comprehensive understanding of your work in the element.
Lesson Plans - Action Required
In order to score Domain 2, specifically, lesson plans need to be kept up to date and available upon request using www.planbook.com or another electronic means to your supervising administrator. School-wide expectation is that lesson plans are kept up to date and submitted at minimum quarterly. If you have not provided your administrator with access to your lesson plans, please do so immediately as they will be included as the primary component of Domain 2. All final lesson plans must be completed and submitted by end of year check out for archive purposes.
EOY Timeline for Professional Growth System:
4/20-5/8: Administrators complete Formal (if needed) & Informal Observations
By 5/1: Domains 2-4 will be sent to teachers/non-classroom teachers by administrator; teachers/non-classroom teachers may provide ongoing evidence in iObservation
5/4-5/12: Conferences upon request between admin. and teacher/non-classroom teacher (optional)
5/13: Domain 1-4 will be finalized in iObservation by Administrator
If you have any questions, please contact your supervising administrator.
PLC End of Year Expectations - Action Required by May 1st!
Below are the final PLC expectations for the end of the year, if you have any questions, please see an Administrator, PLC Facilitator, or Instructional Coach for assistance.
4th Quarter Predictions & Intervention Planning:
Attached to the original email are two documents; one is a WORD document containing directions for our Final Predictions and 4th Quarter Intervention Planning. Also attached is an EXCEL document you could use for this process. It is a cleaner version of our previous EXCEL with wonderful drop down menus of anything you could want.
Please remember this is about the PROCESS, not the PRODUCT. With that being said, please turn in your EXCEL to your Instructional Coach by 5/1. If you have already engaged in this process for Quarter 4, please just submit your document.
If you have any questions, please ask Mrs. Leary, your PLC Facilitator, or your Instructional Coach.
Observe a Teacher Follow Up Mini-Sessions (PLC sessions for remainder of year):
We will be taking these strategies to the next level by offering 15 minute tutorials on Thursday, April 23 before school and during lunch by the practitioners who were observed to share the "behind the scenes – planning and prep" in the following areas:
Google Drive (Docs): Mrs. Byrd RM 106 (AM, B Lunch)
Socrative & Plickers (formative assessment): Ms. Grubbs & Mr. McComiskey RM 106 (AM, B Lunch)
Socratic Seminar: Ms. Baer & Ms. Martanovic RM 106 (AM, A & B Lunch)
QR Codes: Mrs. Euler RM 106 (AM, A Lunch)
Those who are interested can attend to get one-on-one/small group assistance. The expectation is to implement the strategy in the classroom within the month of April and complete a reflection: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1WejeZ9bGgRuKuhVhlEWbFOCFOjeww6OfaZmU7XcsZfw/viewform?usp=send_form. By completing these individualized professional growth opportunities and sharing with your PLCs, this will be counted as your PLC participation through May 1st.
PLC Points (due by May 1):
If your name is NOT listed below, by May 1st, please go on to AVATAR and sign up for the RHS Weekly PD in Standards-Based PLCs (38.6926) at avatar.pasco.k12.fl.us to be eligible for the 30 PLC points including ESE points for the year.
