SAT Testing - Wednesday, March 2 - 11th Grade Students Only
The State of Ohio requires all students in their 3rd year of high school take the SAT School Day Test. On Wed., March 2nd, only 11th grade students will be in the building. Grades 9, 10, and 12 will be off. This is the SAT no Essay that is administered to your student at no cost to you.
The Graham School will be holding the SAT School Day Test on Wednesday, March 2nd 2022. Your student may arrive at school between 7:30-7:50am. Testing will begin promptly at 8:00am. Testing will take place in small, socially distanced groups to ensure safety for all students and staff during testing.
In order to prepare for SAT Testing students should utilize Khan Academy’s free SAT Testing Resources. These resources can be found at www.khanacademy.org/SAT. One of the best ways to prepare for the SAT is to practice early and often. Students who study 15-20 mins per day 3-5 days per week, are able to earn higher test scores than if they do not study beforehand!
All COVID Safety Guidelines listed below will be strictly enforced during testing time.
On the Day of testing students should plan to bring the following items with them!
Number 2 pencils
Calculator (if they have one, if not one will be provided)
State ID (drivers license)
Test taking tips leading up to the test date:
Get a full 8 hours of rest the night before testing to ensure your brain is rested and ready
Eat a healthy breakfast with protein and complex carbs to help fuel your body and brain
Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated

Crew is a core practice at The Graham School that is essential to bringing our community together by allowing for relationship building, promoting shared understandings through equity and inclusion, and building positive connections with peers. Crew is also a vehicle for developing and supporting students socially, emotionally and academically. During these challenging times, Crew is perhaps more important than it has ever been for our community. Last year we expanded Crew work to include Family Crew, with the intent to engage and connect our families through our culture of Crew.
This year we are hosting monthly Family Crew sessions to engage and connect with our families. Each Family Crew session will have a specific focus related to the work we do at The Graham School, such as Crew, Mindfulness, Restorative Practices, Social-Emotional Learning, etc. The format of the meetings will be determined each month as we keep an eye on the evolving COVID situation in Franklin County and continue to prioritize the safety of students, families, and staff.
CREW 101
What is Crew? Why do we do it? When is it? Why do students have to attend? Here is a quick rundown of all things Crew and why it is so important at The Graham School!
All students at The Graham School are enrolled in a Crew. Crew is a required course that meets M-TH after lunch. Students receive a grade for Crew and are expected to attend regularly and engage in Crew activities. The structure of Crew also provides for consistent academic progress monitoring.
Crew is essential to bringing our community together by allowing for relationship building, promoting shared understandings and positive connections with peers, and encouraging all community members to become Crew, not passengers. At The Graham School we make a point to ensure that all students are known well and supported by adults. Crew helps make this happen!
With all that is going on in our world today- a global pandemic, political turmoil, and economic strife, Crew is perhaps more important than it has ever been for our community. We believe that if there has ever been a need to wrap around our students- our Graham family, it is now and it is urgent.
