Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

The BSE Bear Staff is truly the BEST! The office staff and I appreciate all that you do for the students and families in our BSE community. Your kindness, offered to all of us, during our "new crew" transition has been warmly received and appreciated. Please enjoy a small token of appreciation from all of us, in the form of a little tiny box that says Thank You, in you mailbox later today. Enjoy the week of appreciation and know that you are all highly respected and appreciated all year round!

#BestStaffOnEarth!

End of Year Class LIsts

As you all know we are currently knee deep and in the middle of our ISTEP/NWEA testing. The way that the schedule is going for completion of HA identification etc. including knowing who where our new kiddos need to be placed will place tremendous pressure on our class lists process. It is my hope to attempt to get you a firm list of HA/SPED/ENL prior to your departure so you may fill in the spots around them. There is a serious possibility that you will all be on summer break prior to this information coming in. I'll keep Team Leaders in the "know" on this topic.

Teacher End of Year Evaluation Process

All certified teachers will need to create an EOY Artifact (please title when you create it) that describes anything that you would like me to see that will assist me in rating both:

Standard 1: Purposeful Planning

Standard 3: Teacher Leadership

This artifact can be a bulleted list, written description, or simply documents that show and remind me of the powerful planning and leadership you have offered during the school year. I have already collected your teaching plans from your long eval week, so anything in addition would relate to the standards beyond planning like use of data to inform instruction.

These documents are due in SFS prior to June 5th, unless you desire a end of year meeting described below.

NO end of year meeting is required on your part, however many of you will want to see a ball park of your calculated end of year score. These will not be ready to finalize until our school grade and ISTEP data are placed into the system and that will occur in August or September of next year. ALL teacher will have a beginning of year meeting that provides scores from the year prior and allows for goals setting based on the previous year's outcomes.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A END OF YEAR "BALL PARK ESTIMIATE MEETING" PLEASE SEND ME AN INVITE TO DO SO. I AM AVAILABLE TO DO SO BEGINNING MAY 18TH THROUGH JUNE 12TH. MY TIME IN MAY WILL BE VERY VERY TIGHT, BUT OPEN AS CAN BE IN JUNE IF YOU DON'T MIND SWINGING INTO BSE FOR A 15-20 MINUTE CONVERSATION.

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions around this process, I'll be happy to clarify.
