The Mustang Stampede
Third Grade news for the months of Feb. & March
Math
Fluency continues with the remainder of the factors. We spend one week on each, unless otherwise noted, with the tests coming on Fridays. This week we will test over X11. We will continue through X4, X8, X7, and X12 in that order. We cover related facts in a specific order, as outlined in the district curriculum. Reading & Language Arts
LA/Spelling: For the writing part of LA, we will also focus on expressive thoughts through poetry formats. The spelling will continue to be the same with a combination of Sight Words for homework and word work in class. I have seen large gains in the spelling. Thank you parents for the support at home.
Social Studies
For the upcoming six weeks, we will focus on President's Day and the impact of these influential Americans. From that standpoint, the students will learn the foundations of how government is designed to work properly.
* A huge bit of praise goes out to all parents and families who gave time to support the kids in their Living Museum. It was, by far, the best we've had yet. The students astounded us with their knowledge and effort. All that was made possible by your encouragement!
