SOUTH SCHOOL

June 12, 2022

South Families,

I can't believe that this is the last newsletter of the 2021-2022 school year. And what a year it has been! We thank you for your incredible partnership throughout this year. Your children have done an amazing job preserving through this year's challenges while growing socially, emotionally, and academically. We came together as a school and really proved that we are Better Together!

I hope that everyone has a restful and enjoyable summer. See you all in the next school year!

South SOARS!

THANK YOU PTO!

We would like to give a tremendous shout-out to our PTO for all they have done this year. They provided our students with numerous curriculum enrichment events including ones within their grades and one for the entire school. They were a variety of wonderful and meaningful learning experiences. In addition to the curriculum enrichment, the PTO provided playground toys for recess and multiple gifts of appreciation for the entire staff. Lastly, they have donated money to go towards new tables in our interior courtyard which will be renovated this summer.

We would also like to give a special thank you to Christina Berthelsen. Christina has served on the PTO board for the past five years and specifically as president for the past two challenging years. Christina always came up with creative ways to support the school and ensured that a partnership between the PTO and the school remained strong. Thank you Christina for all that you have done! The new board will be lucky to have you remain as their advisor through the transition.

Final thanks to all of our room parents and volunteers that made our school a better place. Combined you gave thousands of hours of your time this year and it is appreciated!
