Adding and subtracting fractions

  1. First you have to find the least common multiple
  2. Then you add/subtract across the numerator
  3. Your not supposed to add/subtract the numerator. You keep it the same.
  4. Don't forget to simplify!

multiplying fractions

  1. First you multiply across
  2. Don't forget to simplify!
Or you can:
  1. first simplify by looking diagonally
  2. Then you multiply across

Dividing Fractions

  1. First you KEEP the first fraction the same
  2. Then you CHANGE the dividing symbol two a multiplication symbol
  3. After that you FLIP the numerator and denominator
  4. multiply across
  5. Don't forget to simplify!
