Halloween at RWHS
Halloween Reminders from Student Council
On Monday, 4th hour teachers can play a Halloween trivia kahoot. Same process as always - one winner per class!
On Tuesday, October 31st, we will have our annual costume contest. Anyone dressed up will get a treat, and if they want to have their picture taken for the contest, they should show up at the eagle from 8:15-8:35. Voting will take place during 4th hour Tuesday! Top 3 winners will get prizes!
El Dia de los Muertos RWHS Community Ofrenda
Red Wing Students, Teachers, Support Staff, Administrators, Custodians, Maintenance, Food Service, Community Ed and District Personnel:
Red Wing High School will be celebrating the Mexican celebration of El Dia de los Muertos by constructing a traditional Ofrenda at the base of the eagle statue in the locker bay November 1-6.
You are invited to participate by bringing in a photograph of a dearly departed family member, friend and/or pet in honor of their memory. A table will be set up outside of the Art Room Monday and Tuesday, October 30-31 so that all photographs can be labeled on the back and cards will be provided to leave a special note if you care to do so. You can then place your photo/card on the Ofrenda.
This is a special time of the year to cherish memories of those that are no longer here so that they are not forgotten. Please respect the Ofrenda and decorations used in this space.
In the coming days, your 4th hour teacher will be sharing a video that tells more about the Dia de los Muertos celebration. If you have any questions, ask Ms. Oakes-J202 or Ms. Bray-F101.
